The Church requires that those who are going to confirm their baptismal vows before the Bishop have undergone a period of catechism (instruction in the Christian faith). For those who turn eleven years of age within the calendar year, the youth Confirmation preparation program begins in September and runs through May. Our program involves classroom instruction, participation in parish worship, a visit to our food bank and cathedral, performing a Passion play on Good Friday, as well as an overnight youth retreat. For older youth and adults who wish to confirm their baptismal vows, a less formal program will take place under the direction of the rector during the season of Lent.
